Virtus Training – Protecting God’s Children

Any volunteer over the age of 18 who has regular contact with children or youth is required to undergo a background check, agree to a Standards of Ministerial Behavior statement, and attend a Protecting God’s Children Awareness session.
Training sessions only needs to be taken once and is valid for any area of working with children or youth, this includes youth ministry volunteers, chaperones for retreats, small group leaders, catechists, nursery volunteers, coaches, etc. Sessions are offered on a regular basis at various parishes in the diocese. Sessions last three hours and prompt arrival is mandatory. For an up to date list of upcoming sessions visit VIRTUSOnline, select Grand Rapids Diocese and sign up for a session near you.
 
To become a volunteer, fill out the following forms and drop off or mail to the parish office or email to echukwuezi@stpaulapostle.com or jwinkelmann@stpaulapostle.com. Remember to register for an in person Virtus Training session. Thank you for being a faithful steward!
