Parish Stewardship Council

The Stewardship Council oversees volunteering in 6 areas of parish life (Welcoming&Engagement, Worship, Faith Formation, Charity, Fellowship, Communication) each of these committees being led by one or more Chairs/Co-chairs. There is a close collaboration with the Finance Council in matters related to stewardship of treasure. Meetings are generally every 2 or 3 months. Current membership: Fr. Peter Damian (Pastor), Tiffny Harmon & Stephanie DeByle (Welcoming&Engagement Co-Chairs), Paul Korte & John Harmon (Worship Co-Chairs), Anh Pham, Hillary Martin & Pat Hollern (Faith Formation Co-Chairs), Mary Jo Rabaut & Anne Sassano (Charity Co-Chairs), Liz Korte (Fellowship Chair), Merribeth Kreuger (Communication Chair). Currently there are about 40 parish groups, each with their own leaders. The Stewardship Council organizes through ad-hoc committees the Annual Cougar Dash 5k & Parish Festival and the Baja Fish Taco Nights in Lent.

Parish Finance Council

The Finance Council works closely with the pastor, who is accountable to the diocesan bishop for the administration and stewardship of the temporal goods of the parish. The pastor, according to Canon Law, has among his responsibilities, the responsibility for parish financial and temporal management. The Parish Finance Council is a consultative body that assists the pastor in meeting these obligations. While the Parish Finance Council does not have decision making authority, consultation is at the heart of the decision-making process – sharing information, listening, contributing to the discussion, and promoting consensus. Finance Council duties include developing the parish budget, overseeing spending in accordance with it, advising the pastor on parish spending, and the annual financial report to the parish. Meetings are every scheduled 5-6 times a year. Current membership: Kim Gary (Chair), Fr. Peter Damian (Pastor), Tony Asselta, Brian Cole, John Greko, Mike McGivney, Chad Warner.

Parish Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council is a consultative body that serves to advise the parish priest about pastoral issues. The council’s main purpose is to reflect upon, discern and advise the pastor about pastoral matters as appropriate. The last recorded meeting of the pastoral council at St. Paul’s was more than a decade ago. It is the pastor’s intention to form one again in the near future; please contact him if you are interested in serving in this capacity in the future.
