The St. Paul Haiti Committee learned that we can buy rice in Haiti at a lower cost than shipping it from Michigan. We can provide 49% more rice to the hungry families of our partner parishes for each dollar spent, while using our parish contributions toward building the Haitian economy. During Masses on the last weekend of September, the Bucks for a Bag initiative collects money to purchase bags of rice.
