• The program is open for children in grades kindergarten through 7th grade.
• New in the fall will be small group studies for children in grades 6 and 7.

The Faith Formation program is a fun and interactive way for your child to encounter Jesus, grow in faith and become a witness to the Gospels.

The Faith Formation program will be organized by formation levels. The group your child is assigned to will not necessarily correlate with his/ her grade level at school. If your child has not attended a Faith Formation program in the past, they will enter at the Primary level. Children who have completed the Primary level will move on to the Sacrament Prep level. The year following Sacrament Prep begins the Intermediate levels of formation. The program consists of three Intermediate levels. Completion of all levels is needed for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Faith Groups are as follows:

• Catechesis if the Good Shepherd (kindergarten)
• Children of God (first year of Faith Formation typically grades 1 & 2)
• Sacrament Prep (typically grades 2 & 3)
• Marks of the Church (grades 3 & 4)
• Covenant Keepers (grades 4& 5)
• Living the Sacraments: JPII (grades 5& 6)
• Living the Faith (grades 6 & 7)

Evenings of Worship are an important component of the formation process.

• The program will have quarterly Family Adoration and Fellowship nights,  
• This year there will be four Parent/ Child Liturgical Gathering evenings; gathering dates TBD.
• All of these evenings count towards completion of the faith year.

St. Mary’s Press Discover! Finding Faith in Life curriculum is used.

• Each lesson is based in Scripture.
• The lesson includes a Background Reflection, Family Activities, and a highlighted Saint.

The On-Site program gathers on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:30 from September 17- May 20. The first gathering will be an evening of Family Adoration, Fellowship and meeting the catechists.

• 1 Child: $110.00
• 2nd Child: $65.00
• 3rd Child: $65.00
• 4+ Children: Free

No additional fee for non-parishioners, but a letter from your parish Faith Formation Coordinator or Pastor acknowledging that your child will be attending SPA Faith Formation is needed before registration can be processed.

Parents who commit to volunteering weekly will receive a $30 discount per child. Contact Jeanne ( jwinkelmann@spagr.org) for the discount code.

Please note if your child is preparing to receive a sacrament this year (First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation) they must be registered for their appropriate grade level in the faith formation program or attend SPA school as well as attend Sacrament Catechesis events.
