Director of After Care and Summer Care Programing

St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the school’s after-school care program and summer care programs. This is a year-round, part-time position. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in after-care and summer care that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership, staff, and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position.

School year: (39 weeks) 

  • Monday – Friday 
  • 2:00pm-6:00pm

Summer: (8 weeks) 

  • Monday – Thursday 
  • 7:30am-5:30pm

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, child development, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting

  • Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting
  • Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training
  • Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church
  • CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)

Director of Sacred Music

The director of Sacred Music is a full-time position (40 hours weekly) and reports to the pastor of Saint Paul the Apostle Parish and the parish manager.  The director is responsible for the planning and execution of the Parish’s sacred music program, most especially the sacred music used at the Sunday and Holy Day Masses, school Masses, funerals, weddings, and other liturgical celebrations.  The director reviews all liturgical music programs, procedures, and budgets for parish music programs in close collaboration with the pastor.  The director will recruit and rehearse parish volunteer choirs.
