Previously owned by the diocese and a part of the St. Paul the Apostle Parish campus, 2706 Burton was conveyed to Guardian Angel Homes in 2001 and then sold to Hope Network in 2010. On July 29th, 2022, St. Paul celebrated the repurchase of the building, bringing it back to the parish campus to serve our community.

With the majority of families consisting of dual income households, St. Paul leadership recognized and responded to the need for childcare and summer care programs. In the fall of 2018, St. Paul Catholic School added childcare and early education programs. Since that time, the program and elementary school have experienced tremendous growth, with enrollment increasing by 55%. As a short-term solution, portable classrooms have been added and church activity spaces have been utilized for early education programs—the parish and school facilities have reached capacity and are overburdened.

To better serve families, church and school leadership began the process of creating a facilities expansion master plan when the opportunity to repurchase the 2706 Burton property and bring it back into the St. Paul campus was presented to them—God’s timing is always perfect! The building will serve the childcare and early education programs.

St. Paul hopes to begin renovation of the building and parking lot in early 2023.
